A long time ago I tried too blog.....

I'm alive I think....yep.

What have I been doing....oh been playing a lot of Orcs Must Die!, Terraria, Killing Floor, TF2 (of course) and the swtor beta.

Wait, you played in the beta?  Yes I did twice.  Had a lot of fun.  Played some characters that I will be playing when released and know from other videos what I won't ever go near.

I also been dealing with family stuff which has put a lot of my personal project on hold or abandon.  I plan to put some videos out of my SWTOR gameplay after I get off the starting planet.  I also plan to make some more Orcs videos depending if I have time.

With the recent redesign of youtube I have to figure out have I want the layout to be.

I will still be playing TF2 but I will probably be limiting my time to SNS (Saturday Night Special) and maybe one time during the week.

I'll try and keep this more up to date this time and post some gameplay soon.

2 Fort Egypt style

Several weeks ago I played a version of 2 fort in TF2 which had an egypt style as well as some really nice changes.  There is no water in the middle which really makes playing pyro a little overpowered.  There is a shorter route to the intel if you look for it which is nice for both sides.  The intel is in a different spot that really fits the map style.

Try as I might.....

Tried multiple times to record Star Wars: KOTOR (Knight of the Old Republic) using Fraps but it crashed every time it got to the cinematic scenes.  So my idea of doing a play through and posting it on my channel is a bust.

I hope I don't run into this issue with TOR (The Old Republic) when it comes out.  I really want to do some lets plays with that game.

In other news I will be attending another JoCo concert next month.  His performing with They Might Be Giants so it should be a good show.  I hope to be able to record it like last time.

Long month....

Well its been awhile so lets get started.

I've finished Darksiders and Transformers: War for Cybertron.  Both are great games and I highly recommend them both.

I've busy this past month I had to get the house prepared for a surprise party for my parents anniversity and still deal with work.

I hope to have a new video posted on my gaming channel within the next week.  It's from the SNS (Saturday Night Special) on the Twisted Network server #3 from a few weeks ago.  It's a custom 2fort map with an egypt theme.   It's not all that bad of a custom, it gives you one more route to take to the intelligence and you have no water under the bridge (pyro's go nuts).

I haven't decided what else I will post on the gaming channel yet.  Need to look at my steam library and see what I might like to play.

I also pre-ordered Star Wars: The Old Republic.  I'm planning to make at least three characters (two republic, one sith).  I know some of the people I play with are going sith which in fine.  I know my first character is going to be jedi which might end up fighting them if I get on the same server.

Something life sucks

Hi guys sorry I haven't posted in a while been a little busy.  So last the other weekend I had a minor accident and had to go to the emergency room to have my shoulder looked at.  Nothing was broken but I had a contusion so I could do much with my right arm.

I'm a lot better now still not a 100% but it could have been worse.

I've also been playing a lot of F2P games that just arrived on Steam.  One of which is Champions Online which I already had characters on.  None of the costumes I made are saved on the new hard drive so I need to see if I can transfer them to the new one just in case I want them.

I also got Fear 1 & 2 for a nice price on steam (got to love those sales).  I might get Fear 3 for the multiplayer.

I hope to start recording again soon.  I'm just not sure what I should record or how much.

Quick update

I'm really enjoying Darksiders right now.  I got it on steam when it was on sale.  It might be a hack & slash but it has a pretty good story and the voice acting is good (Mark Hamill as your handler).  I haven't gotten too far into the game yet but the mini arena battles are a nice change.  Kill x amount until you reach the kill count and get extra souls for any time left over.

If your looking for a hack & slash that is different from most I recommend this game.

Up and running

Well, I think I have all my files from the old hard drive transferred.  I'm so glad I did this now due to the Team Fortress 2 new video editor.  It's something that is actually really cool.  You don't need special software to edit those special shots or have more than one person recording to get the shot you want.

I did a really short video as a test and its up on my main channel on youtube.

I also will be playing some new games since I have the new drive.  I have already downloaded Darkstalkers and will be getting Mount and Blade installed soon.  I haven't reinstalled Portal 2 yet and I might wait on that until I play some other stuff first unless someone asks for some help first.

Slow transfer

I'm slowly moving stuff from my old hard drive to my new larger drive.  I'm not going huge just going from 250 - 500 GB.  I'm hoping to have more active games running on this new drive.

I went and got Mount & Blade when it was on sale mainly because one of the communities I play with are getting a dedicated server for the next expansion.  It was a good deal so I didn't mind too much.

I haven't played Magicka much since I beat the single player but I really want to play it again and get all the magic spells and find all the moose bodies.

I hope to finish getting what I need off my old drive by the weekend and finish installing the few remaining programs on the new one.  I already have steam and some games already loaded so I don't have to wait too long.

Helping fellow gamers

I like helping my fellow gamers now and again when I can afford too.  I just bought Portal 2 and noticed they had a fairly good deal if you bought a 2 pack so I did.

I gave the extra copy to a friend on steam that I know loves video games.  I also gave a copy of Portal 1 to someone I have know online for a while and just recently got on steam.  I really hope she enjoys it as much as I have.

I like giving people something that may enjoy or really like. 

In times like these its nice to give without asking for something in return.  Just try not to over do it.

I left the house

I actually went out last week to a JoCo concert.  It was a blast.  Listen to some new songs as well as some favorites.

I also recorded most of the concert, I had to switch out the battery and memory card at one point so I missed some of the comments he made about playing in Nashville.

I didn't get a picture with him, I actually did even think about it when I got him to sign a shirt and cd.

Attention TF2 players

Anyone who hasn't read the team fortress blog needs too.  They are getting involved with the relief effort for Japan.  Until April 6th you can purchase items in the tf2 store and the money will go toward the relief effort thru the American Red Cross.

I think this a great way to raise money and to connect with gamers across the world.  It's showing your friends that I help support a people that have suffered greatly.

Good Magicka Series

Hi all, as you know I got Magicka some time ago and I have been playing it from time to time ever since I saw Total Biscuit's WTF video.

Well, he got together with another youtube user group Yogscast and started a Magicka let's play.  I have never had of yogscast until this series but there are funny.  If you still haven't picked up Magicka or wanted to see a multi-player game I would highly recommend you watch this.  I haven't laughed so much in a long time after watching some of these videos.

I'm back from dental surgery

As you tell from the title I had my surgery to remove you tooth and caps put in.  I'm just got back to work today, took a day off after surgery just to be safe.  I haven't really done all that much since I had the surgery.  I played some Champions since I didn't want to talk all that much and it gave me a chance to level up qwaten a bit.  I may make some more videos of champions, tf2, l4d and possibly other games soon.

Start of a new month and things couldn't be better.

Champions Online

Ok, I finally made a couple of videos for champions online.  It's not a true lets play but I do show you unedited footage of my time just after finishing the tutorial.  I finished the tutorial with someone which I recommend against.  If you due play this game and go thru the tutorial take your time there.  Get to level 7 at least before finishing.  It will make things easier once you get out.

Update for stuff this month

I setup my appointment for dental surgery for the end of the month and I have a follow up on that surgery in March just before a concert I plan to attend.  I'm not sure what to expect after the surgery in terms of gaming.  You may see me on steam or champions not sure if I'll be up to playing.

I have decided for now to hold off getting DC Universe Online until I get some of this dental stuff done.  I hope things don't get too out of control were I have to use credit to pay for some of this.  I'm just now starting to see my overall balance going down.

Working for the state has always been scary but with budgets being what they are I just hope I can get some of the dental work done and still have a job.  I hate/like working for the state but I really hate the bs that goes on.

I'll probably post something after my dental surgery in a couple weeks til then laters.

Working and stuff

Sorry for the lack of updates work has been well work.  Kind of hard to blog and work most of the time let alone at home when I have just enough time to play games sometimes. 

I also went to the dentist the other day which has been a long time coming.  I haven't been since last century so I wasn't surprised that I need to have work done.  Need to have a least one tooth pulled which I knew and other work over time this year.  Insurance is covering a chunk of the cost but most is out of pocket.  I do have the option of payment plan which I think I will do.

Other than that things have been alright.  Got a new hard drive (500 GB) which is going in soon to replace the 250 GB as the main drive.  As soon as I get another anti-virus copy I'm going to spend a day installing windows, anti-virus, steam, tf2 (at least at first) and the games I going to keep playing for now. 

I'm also going to pick up DC Universe Online at some point.  It looks really good and fun.  I'll post an update and let you guys know if and when I get it up and running.

I've been lazy on finishing the next two minecraft videos.  I have the project created I just need to adjust the volume and take out two minutes in the last video.  I hope to work on it tonight and have something posted on youtube tomorrow.

Speaking of minecraft machinima is doing a special stream today with Notch and SeaNanners.  Go check it out it should be good.

Champions Online

Once again I find myself in an MMO.  This one wasn't my first choice but I saw some news that this was going free to play and decided what the frell I'll try it out.

I didn't except that much from the character menu and the custom chooses could be better but since I'm not spending a dime I can't complain much.  The game is very campy with the graphics (almost feels like your on a comic book page).  The controls are ok (you can use either a controller or keyboard) haven't messed with rebinding keys yet.

Haven't really gotten to far into it.  After fighting the invasion I think the game might get better but I'm not holding my breath.

Compared to the starting area for DCUO (DC Universe Online) that I have seen, the starting area sucks.  If anyone else played Champions leave a comment and tell me what your experience was like.

Magicka

As some of you may have heard a new steam game came out this week called Magicka.  The steam page and trailer didn't make it out to be the game it really is.  I follow Total Biscuit on youtube mainly for his DC universe LP.  He had a WTF for this game and I watched it.  It was awesome.  This should have been the video on the steam page.  It really gives you an idea what is possible in Magicka and how good or evil you can be (burning a villager that just insulted you is so much fun).

The many movie/game references are really funny and fit into the game without breaking it (finding Link's Master Sword was a nice find).

For $10 its worth the cost.  Now there are still some issues mainly with multiplayer, but the developer is working to correct the issues.

If your looking for a fun game for little cost I recommend you buy this game.

Snow...............................................................................

Had a alright day until I had to go home from work.  It started snowing around Nashville around 3 pm and I didn't think it was that bad.  Worked until I usually do then started driving home. 

It took me almost 3 hrs to get home which usually takes me 45 min.  Grrr....stupid people driving and major traffic.

Normally it doesn't bother me and we had snow just the other week but some drivers acted like they haven't seen or driven in snow before.  Going to stop talking about it before I get into a rant.

Minecraft got an update not sure what was done yet other than less creepers.  I looking to make something from a scifi show once I get enough colors.

More minecraft coming...

First Post

Well, I finally broke down and got on blogger.

I started a minecraft series since not a lot of crafters have started a home base at there spawn point first.

I like building my first building at the spawn point in case I get killed before I finish a cave lair or whatever I choose to make outside of my spawn lair.

I will try and keep up with the minecraft a little better than my Team Fortress 2/ Left 4 Dead videos.  I think I was doing it the hard way plus the valve games videos took up a lot of hard drive space on my 2 TB external drive.

In case anyone would like to know I work full time for the state of Tennessee.  It's not the best position in the world but at least I'm working and getting paid. 

I play a lot of Battlefield Bad Company 2 and still play Team Fortress 2 mostly on Saturday night.  I haven't played Left 4 Dead a lot lately but if you send and invite out I'll play with you.

I'm planning to get Star Wars: The Old Republic when it comes out since I'm a fan of the series.  I played the first MMO Star Wars Galaxies back before it became what it is today.  I hope that they have learned from there mistakes and I don't want to play something for a few months and go ok what now.
